OMS Unveils State of the Art Compounding Facility

The Desjardins family of Ottawa has been in the pharmaceutical business since 1921. The third generation of the family is currently carrying on the tradition started by their grandfather. In 1960 their father purchased Ontario Medical Supply to expand and diversify the company’s interest in healthcare in the Ottawa area.

Desjardins Pharmacy has been involved in the compounding of sterile products for the last 15 years. From fairly humble beginnings atop their downtown retail operation the Desjardins have recently moved into a state of the art facility in the east end of Ottawa. They have demonstrated a long term commitment to the home health care market with this investment and pride themselves on the quality of service to their customers.

Pharmaceutical Partners of Canada has been involved with Desjardins Pharmacy since they began their sterile compounding operations. PPC is proud to be a preferred vender to Desjardins Pharmacy and looks forward to continuing the excellent relationship that has developed over the years.

Recently, OMS unveiled a state-of-the-art sterile compounding facility in Ottawa. We congratulate the Desjardins family on their investment in healthcare for Ottawa and look forward to the growth of home health care in the region.
